·         Positive and cordial effort to understand others beliefs, practices, and habits not necessarily accepting them.

·         Respecting the diversity of our culture

·         Accepting the fact that human beings are naturally diverse in their appearances, speech, behaviors and values; they have the right live in peace and to be as they are.

·         One’s views are not to be imposed on others

·         Fair and objective attitude towards those whose lifestyle differs from yours.

·         Very important in this diverse country; esp after globalisation

·         Without tolerance and harmony the lasting peace of societies cannot be maintained

·         First step towards tolerance is respect; first step towards respect is knowledge.

·         The highest result of education is tolerance
